Client Featured in New York Times “Best Of” List

We are pleased to announce that our client, Hiroshi Sugimoto, has once again been featured in the New York Times for his impressive architectural and design work. He was named for designing one of the best interiors featured in the NY Times in 2019. Sugimoto, who was born in Tokyo, Japan, is one of the most famous living artists from Asia. He rose to fame through his photographic masterpieces, but has also gained acclaim for his architectural designs, site-specific artwork, and theatre direction (just this year, he directed a dance production at Opera National de Paris and a bunraku puppet theater production at Lincoln Center in New York).

Sugimoto’s work is held in some of the world’s most prestigious museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Centre Georges Pompidou, the Museum of Modern Art in NY, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo, the Tate Gallery, and the Smithsonian Institution. His works also grace private collections around the world. In 2009, Sugimoto established the Odawara Art Foundation to promote Japanese culture.

It has been an honor to work with the prolific and one-of-a-kind Hiroshi Sugimoto for the past five years. We have served as his legal counsel on a number of high-profile private works and public installations, and we look forward to sharing news about his future work.
